Your scent is going to be a memory and finding the perfume that suits you and makes people think of you can be a very powerful thing. A scent you love can truly become a part of you, an extension of yourself.I know a certain combination of smells bring my mum into my head in a way no photograph or sound can… a combination of Chanel number 5 cigarettes and her own warmth, itas unique and whilst it is lovely to try wear and play with perfumes when you find one that suits you and feels perfect it can be so satisfying.
A perfume that suits you is not going to be easy to find quickly, there has to be thought and care and certain protocols to observe. Don’t rush to buy something swayed by the advertising and sexy beautiful models on Tv, do not just follow trends and fashions just because everyone is wearing a certain fragrance, it does not mean it is fragrance is right for you, too.
Consider your daily life and the scents you enjoy, The coconut shampoo, citrus shower gel.Your fresh and green body wash? Tobacco! Leather !These care a great starting point to finding your ideal scent. Search for fragrances with those notes . Consider if this is going to be a going out perfume or an everyday one. A sexy musk might be more suited to a night out while floral or citrus might suit a sunny day at play. Is this a scent for you or others to notice about you?
Test for at least 4 hours. When you first smell a fragrance you’re actually only smelling the top notes it then settles and you discover the heart notes and eventually the base notes those rich, heavy scents that linger until the end of the day.
Never decide or dismiss a scent on the first moment, allow it to evolve for at least 4 hours.
Spray it on a pulse point where your skin is naturally warm, like your wrist or elbow, so the fragrance will react and reveal itself unique to you. Scents can smell completely different on different people sensitive to light and heat, and personal body chemistry, diet and hormonal levels.
Once you have found ‘your’ perfume wear it confidently. Revel in the fragrance that reflects your personality. Remember the sense of smell is one of the most important of the five senses ,we are often attracted to someone because of the way they smell.

Why do jeans have small pockets inside the front pockets?
Surely you have wondered why jeans have a small pocket inside the front pocket. Some will say they are pockets to hold loose change and there are people (men generally) who use them this way. Others think they are to put the lighter or tickets or other useful and small objects that they carry around.
But actually the pockets were for a very important purpose when the first jeans were created. Think that jeans date back to the 1800s when all men had a pocket watch. It was therefore essential for this new type of trousers to have a special place for this object that all men then had. Now practically no one has a pocket watch, but the pockets are still there.
Were Edwardian women waists ‘photoshopped’?
Well, not exactly photoshopped, they didn’t have computers those days and certainly not Adobe Photoshop to play with.
We know that women those days were shorter but physically the same as us, so some of the amazingly thin waists look quite unbelievable. Sure, corsets could make waist look very thin but some are unnaturally small.
That’s when a bit of doctoring was used to make the waist look thinner. It was normally done directly on the negative by painting over the extra waist. If you look closely at many photos of the time you will see that there are strange shadows around the waist or the area look darker or lighter than the rest of the photo.
Some were a bit over the top like this photo below. You can clearly see that the waist was doctored.
Others might be less obvious but they still look suspicious if you look closely.
The October birthstone is the Opal
The October birthstone is the Opal. The October birthday loves to chat and will respond wholeheartedly to those they believe loves them and values friends very highly. They are hurt easily and if betrayed will try to forgive quickly which is a testament to their inner beauty. Opinionated they will not care what others think once they have made a decision . They day dream and imagine being in the great outdoors and travelling to beautiful places.
The opal symbolises faithfulness and confidence. The word comes from the Latin opalus, meaning “precious jewel.” Necklaces with opals set in them were worn to repel evil and to protect eyesight.
Opalscan exhibit a wide variety of colors.it diffracts light and can display all the colors of the rainbow simultaneously. For this reason, it has been considered great luck throughout history as it was thought to possess all the value of each gemstone in the opals color spectrum. Unfortunately after the publication of Sir Walter Scott’s novel Anne of Geierstein, people in the 1800s began to associate opals with bad luck and even death.
Known as the eyestone the opal inspires love and hope, innocence and purity, luck and happiness.Bringing energy to the system, soothing and clearing the emotional body, and boosting the will to live and the joy of life, It kindles optimism, enthusiasm and creativity, and allows for the release of inhibitions inspiring love and passion.
Opals are protective. They are stones of happy dreams, particularly soothing for children and those who have always slept badly or had recurring nightmares with no apparent reason, helping any issues a child may have with an invisible or imaginary friend, and is especially helpful before sleep if the child wishes the friend to go away at bedtime. It enhances foresight, empathy and confidence and helps the wearer influence people to his point of view.
