🌍 History & Origin 🌿
Geranium plants were once planted around homes as hedges to ward off evil spirits (and yes – mosquitoes too!). Native to South Africa, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt, and Morocco, geraniums made their way to Europe in the 17th century. Out of over 700 varieties, only about 10 produce essential oil in commercially viable quantities.
